Summer Border at Port Isaac

The large mixed border just outside Port Isaac has really filled out well again this year.
The Achillea and Nepeta work so well and are repeated throughout this long curving border...

Astrantia is really happy in this border...

You can see here, Astrantia, Nepeta, Stachys and Digitalis amongst many others...

Pale 'Barnsley Baby' Lavatera punctuates the border and is a real focal point...

Phlomis italica is another plant that is repeated along the border and works so well with the perennial colour around it...

More photos later as the border develops with the season...

Bude Rural Garden

This new design is for a large rural garden just south of Bude.  The clients wanted no hard landscaping as some earth shaping had already been done, but wanted ideas on how to create different garden spaces within this large area with planting and soft landscaping.

New Polzeath Garden Progress

The 'before' photo shows the garden as it was, just rough lawn that the rabbits dug up with a few old and neglected shrubs around the boundaries.....

The clients' brief was for a garden to be in keeping with style of the contemporary build house.
The lines are clean and curving with a private sunken seating area and  pathway through the garden that allows all the key areas to be accessed easily, and with a dedicated parking bay at the entrance to the garden.

A bird's eye view - areas of lawn (artificial turf to ease maintenance and thwart the rabbits) still need to be laid, as well as the paving on the terrace and path....photos to follow
